British Royal Family News find that Joshua Silverstein, who happens to be an ex-boyfriend of Meghan Markle, has revealed how complicated her relationship is with her father, Thomas Markle.
Meghan Markle’s Ex-Boyfriend Spills The Beans On Her Relationship With Thomas Markle
Meghan and Thomas have a lot of patching up to do. Meghan had recently claimed that her relationship with her dad was over, while Thomas subsequently replied by stating how he had attempted to reach out to the couple. In an interview with Us Weekly, Joshua stated how he knew Thomas to be a tricky man. He said: “I knew her dad growing up as kids.
“I didn’t see him often … but I did know that Meghan’s relationship with her dad was complicated, and I understood that as most teenager-to-parent relationships are.” That is not to say that Joshua was criticising Thomas. Far from it. Rather, he acknowledged the grievances that Meghan may have had and realised the circumstances in which she was brought up. He added: “Being there when Meghan’s parents were divorced at that time.
“It’s hard raising your kids without the secondary parent. It’s all challenging.” So what were the challenges? Well, Joshua refused to open up on those areas. It is understandable, given that he (most likely) still cares for Meghan. In addition, it would not be wise to draw further media scrutiny on a situation where Meghan is barely holding things together. That is why Joshua recognised the importance of boundaries.
He continued: “But at the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you and your family. If that means creating a boundary with your parents, sometimes that’s what you have to do.” Meghan, for her part, did try to protect her father from the same media barrage she has experienced. She had taken extreme measures to keep her father’s identity away from the press, which would signify why she had not been in frequent contact from the initial stages.
During an unaired portion of her interview on CBS, Meghan stated how the media were looking for a scandal. She said: “The U.K. tabloids were trying to find my dad…Once they did, I remember being told, there was a huge headline, like, ‘We found him!’ or We’ve got him!”
