British Royal Family News find that Meghan Markle’s ex-boyfriend, Joshua Silverstein, has denied that Meghan could ever be the perpetrator of bullying.
Meghan Markle’s Ex-Boyfriend Denies She Is A Bully
Meghan was accused of bullying two of her former Royal assistants, to the point where there were even tears. Joshua, though, felt Meghan’s personality is counter to what a bully would do. In an interview with Us Weekly, Joshua said: “I see her doing whatever it is she feels like she should do in order to be happy and coexist within a system that has probably not been very welcoming to who she is and where she comes from.”
Not only that, Joshua felt that Meghan’s way of standing up for herself could often get misconstrued for arrogance. After all, she is an actress by trade and clearly very vocal with her words. This would be consistent with what Meghan’s friend, Serena Williams, has said in the past. The tennis player has praised Meghan for promoting women’s rights, and Joshua sees Meghan as no exception.
He added: “When you find women of colour…standing up for themselves and speaking out and speaking against what they feel [is] disrespect or oppression, often times whiteness tends to classify that in negative ways because they don’t want that to happen.” Meghan, for her part, was vilified from the moment she decided to leave the Royals and relocate with Prince Harry.
Although she has been praised for the boldness in which she acted, particularly within the US, the UK sentiment has been much far worse. Piers Morgan blasted Meghan and accused her of being a liar. Having said that, John stressed that Meghan needed to do what was best for her family, regardless of the consequences.
He continued: “She’s probably having to make hard decisions and uncomfortable ones for the sake of just being able to smile the next day. That’s what life is about…As long as she’s happy and he’s happy, that’s all that matters.” Meghan must be applauded over the courage she has shown in the face of such scrutiny.
She has already lost her relationships with her father and half-sister, but that has not stopped her from doing what she wants.
