Malik Beasley’s divorce with Montana Yao has taken a major twist after the former has doubted whether he is their son’s father.Â
Is Malik Beasley The Father Of Montana Yao’s Son?
The duo split up after Malik had cheated on Montana with Larsa Pippen, but Malik has now questioned his validity as a father by filing some documents in court. Steven Haney, who happens to the lawyer of Malik, confirmed that the process had begun: “Given the facts and circumstances surrounding these parties’ relationship and lifestyle, it would have been negligent not to have one[test] performed.”
So what were the results? As of now, we are all in the dark. The documents said: “[The] results of those tests are unknown as of the date of this Order.” There had been no suggestions that Montana was unfaithful. In fact, the only person responsible for the break up of that relationship was Malik himself. But with these new allegations, there is a mystery surrounding who the biological father could be.
As for Montana, she maintains her innocence. The documents added: “[Montana believes] that Husband [Malik] is the biological father of the child, but no Recognition of Parentage has been signed and Husband has not otherwise been adjudicate[d] the child’s father.” This would also seem to be consistent with the noise that has been coming out of Montana’s camp.
After all, she was more than willing to allow Malik to take the test. Further to that, she even assisted him by taking him there to the testing place. A source told Us Weekly: “Montana’s taking Makai to get one tomorrow [March 31]. It’s comical for her that he has requested a paternity test because this entire time on social media, he has claimed Makai to be his son.”
So why would Malik take the test? Well, it seems finances could be a reason given that Montana was denied spousal support for the child. However, if Malik is deemed to be the father, then this would change. The court documents stated: “Wife’s request for temporary child support is granted conditioned on Husband becoming adjudicated the child’s father. Upon the fulfilment of that condition, Husband shall pay [the] Wife $6500/mo in temporary child support.”
