British Royal Family News find that senior journalist Gayle King has called on the Royal family to put their issues aside and reunite to move onto more positive things.
Is It Time For The Royal Family To Reunite?
The Royal family has been in disarray ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped their bombshell interview that recently aired on CBS. The accusations were mind-blowing as we were given an insight into the exact reasons as to why the couple decided to renounce their duties and leave the Royals for good. In an interview on the Drew Barrymore Show, Gayle stated how the interview was a chance for all parties to bury the hatchet.
She said: “I think that interview opened up conversations that people weren’t prepared to have or didn’t want to have. But I think, ultimately, it’s about a family that wants to be united and be together, and I’m hoping that will be the case.” This falls in line with some of the noise that has been coming out of the Royal’s media team.
Queen Elizabeth II had reportedly been in crisis meetings in an attempt to patch things up with the couple. She still sees the couple as part of the Royals, despite them not having their patronages. In a statement in response to the interview, the Royals had made it clear that the couple were family. It said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.” So why have things not been patched up since? Well, it seems there are many egos at play here. Clearly, both sides are looking for an admission of guilt, which would limit any harm that has come their way in response to the interview.
Since that has not happened, nor is it likely to, it has left Harry feeling very disappointed. A source revealed: “The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right, and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this, he won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family.” It is a question of who will blink first?
