Sarah Herron, who previously appeared on The Bachelor, has revealed how her fertility issues have started to have a negative impact on her mental health.

The star has longed for a baby, but medical issues have prevented that from happening. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she was very frank over the possibility of being pregnant. She said: “I never imagined it would go this way for me — that at 34, I’d be told my chances of having a baby naturally are very slim. After seven months of trying, but with no pregnancy, we turned to fertility testing. The results are consistent. My egg count and quality is low.”
And the realisation that it may not happen for her has started to hurt her deeply. Sarah, after all, is no stranger to hardship in her life. She was born with a rare condition that saw her delivered with only one arm. In addition, she has seen the negative of having an eating disorder. Naturally, she admitted feeling rock bottom: “It’s hard not to feel broken.”
But that has not stopped her from looking at the positives in her life. She is currently in a relationship with Dylan Brown, and by the sounds of it, things are going very well. Sarah has realised that some things are not meant to be. She continued: “But I know this is just information to know myself better — to know my relationships, priorities, and values, better.
“Whatever the outcome may be. This is not a reflection of my ability to mother and nurture, and it does not make me any less deserving of my partner.” That is why she has decided to support and reach out to other women who may be going through similar issues. Although other options are available, whether fostering or adopting, Sarah has chosen to continue on her current path.
And she signed off her post with that in mind: “And to the women whose footsteps I am following in, I admire you, I hold space for you, and I see all of you more clearly than ever.” Let us hope Sarah can have some happy news in the end.
