‘The Bachelor’ spoilers have found that with the Covid-19 pandemic there is no way the cast and crew can travel the world like in seasons of yore. While the current filming location, Pennsylvania’s Nemacolin Resort has gotten much better reviews from audiences than Tayshia Adam’s sweaty La Quinta Resort in Palm Spring (or maybe it was in the firey pits of Hell. It’s a toss-up) , fans are getting a tired of seeing the same old scene.
It looks now like the viewers may be getting their wish as filming for season 17 of the Bachelorette will be leaving the US behind. For Canada.
‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: The show is going international again, but not where you might think.
The Jasper Park Lodge, nestled among the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Alberta Canada, has just revealed that the entire 446 room lodge has been booked for 9 weeks by mystery guest. While officials at the Fairmont hotel confirmed the reservation on Tuesday, they declined to say who will be enjoying the luxury property for 65 days between Feb. 23 and April 29.
Leaks online, however point the finger at the upcoming season of The Bachelorette using the gorgeous hotel as its next season’s filming location.
Though things will look different–the cast and crew will still need to live in their own Corona free bubble–it won’t be the first time The Bachelor franchise has visited Canada’s Rocky Mountains.
In 2013 Sean Lowe brought a bevy of babes up to the Great White North for romantic dates like repelling down Tunnel Mountain and frolicking on the Columbia Icefield and a Lake Louise polar bear plunge that left one mildly-dramatic bachelorette in a wheelchair. But don’t worry, not even hypothermia could take Tierra’s sparkle (if you know, you know).
So no, it won’t be the usual international travel we are all craving, either literally or via our armchairs but The Jasper Park Lodge’s sprawling 700 scenic acres is nothing to scoff at. Celebs like Bing Crosby and Marilyn Monroe have stayed at the historic property which has even seen its share of royalty, hosting King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, and Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 2005.
I guess if it’s good enough for Queen Liz, it will be good enough for our next Bachelorette- whomever she may be.
Who would you choose from this season’s ladies to lead the next Bachelorette season? Let us know in the comments below and watch The Bachelor, 8pmET on Monday nights on ABC.
