Garcelle Beauvais, who is best known from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has revealed that she was so shocked to hear that Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi were going to get a divorce.

In an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Garcelle spoke on how it came totally out of the blue. She said: “I was blown away when I found out they were getting a divorce. When I sat with her at breakfast last year, she was gushing and glowing about him, so I was really surprised.”
So how did the two meet? Well, Tom had frequented a particular restaurant that Erika was working in as a waitress, but he was shy, to say the least. In her previous book entitled Pretty Miss, Erika outlined the encounter. She wrote: “I told her [secretary], ’Tell Mr Girardi if he wants to take me out on a date, he needs to call me himself and ask me and give me enough time to prepare.
“You know how men are, especially if they are successful. They expect you to drop everything right away. That’s not how I work, I don’t care who you are.” Naturally, then, the news was a shock to the system, given that the couple had been married for 20 years. So what led to the split? Well, Erika accused Tom of being unfaithful with Tricia A Bigelow on the basis of his messages and social media activity.
In addition, the couple had also faced legal troubles at that time, notably two lawsuits. This was too much to bear, and naturally, Erika felt she had no choice but to call it quits. An insider said: “The legal issues are unfolding one after another, and she’s learning as everyone’s filing. As the whole world is finding out about it, she’s finding out about it. She’s reading about it in the press before she even sees it [from her lawyers].”
With the marriage coming to an end, the couple will hope to move on to other things. In the meantime, let us see if any further drama will unfold.
