‘OutDaughtered’ Spoilers find that Danielle Busby’s mysterious illness isn’t going away. Now she’s giving fans an update on what they’ve learned about what could be wrong.
Danielle, 37 and her husband, Adam Busby (38) are trying to be patient as Danielle endures test after test, but the two are desperate to get to the bottom of the illness that manifests as “random” symptoms and leaves Danielle feeling guilty.
“When I’m down, I feel like I’m letting the family down,” she lamented, “and that’s kind of a hard thing — I am a mom of six and a wife and I love all that.”

The Busby’s remain hopeful but despite the numerous and sometimes invasive tests Danielle has undergone, they still do not have a concrete diagnosis.
“It seems like every new test and every new doctor that she goes to, it’s like checking boxes and checking things off the list,” Adam explained. “But it just leads to another test.”
The risk of needing surgery has Danielle scared, but at this stage, the doctors and the Busbys are talking about the probability of Danielle suffering from an autoimmune disease.
Danielle and Adam share 6 daughters — 9-year-old Blayke and 5-year-old quintuplets: Ava, Olivia, Riley, Parker and Hazel. The busy Mom admits she put her own health on the backburner as she looked after her family.
However, as will be chronicled on the upcoming season of TLC’s OutDaughtered, premiering this week, audiences will see the quints enter kindergarten, affording Danielle the time to pay attention to her body.
“They’re all in school right now, so I feel like I kind of have a moment where I can actually feel and listen to my body. For a while I’ve just been hearing like, something’s not right. Something’s wrong. I don’t feel the same,” Danielle said.
“We’ve had scary moments for sure. Some that have scared the crap out of me, honestly.” Danielle admitted. “I’m trying to navigate how to adjust what we do at home with being a mom and being healthy and doing the things that I need to do,” she said. “It’s a journey.”
Season 8 of the reality series will follow that journey as the Busby family attempt to find answers to Danielle’s health struggles. However, the season will not all be doom and gloom. The preview that dropped last week assures all the fun and craziness of the large, Texan family we’ve all come to love.
OutDaughtered returns this Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
