Katherine Heigl has made some light-hearted fun out of a serious issue after posting a rather interesting image of herself following her recent neck surgery.
Katherine Heigl Seems In Good Spirits Despite Undergoing Neck Surgery
In a post to her fans on Twitter, she posted this picture. We can see Katherine is seated on the sofa, with her neck brace clearly visible. In her hands are a packet of Fritos that she is clasping as she looks away from the camera. The post was captioned with the following comments: “Well, I am now bionic!! Two titanium disks now inhabit my neck, and I can probably stand on my head for like hours.
“I’m not gonna try it just yet but give me a few months, and I’ll blow your mind!!” Katherine has been through a lot recently, especially since she had mobility issues. But her husband, Josh Kelley, was there every step of the way to provide some much-needed support. And by the sounds of it, she could not have done the recovery without him.
In a previous tweet, she said: “Thank God for @JoshBkelley for not only coming with me to hold my hand but for providing much needed comedic relief! This is definitely the guy you want by your side during a health crisis. Though, I don’t think I’d bring him to the OB with me. Those jokes would just be too far.”
It is ironic given that Katherine had starred as a doctor in Grey’s Anatomy, but her excellent acting skills could not help her chronic pain, which required some professional experts’ help. And given the treatment she had received from the medics, she had nothing but warm words for them, especially in light of the times we are living in.
The doctors could have been forgiven for being under too much pressure, but Katherine had an excellent experience. In a post on her Instagram, she praised the medical staff for their efforts: “I really feel like [the doctors] deserve a big giant shoutout of gratitude and appreciation, so I’m gonna give it to them! Thank you for your tremendous talent and expertise and for saving my neck!”
It is good to see Katherine feeling so much better, and it should not be too long before she makes a full recovery.
