‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find there is whole lot going on in Salem these days, so much so that Charlie’s murder has become an insignificant side note. But now that Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) is home and Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) has made her debut, can we please start caring about whodunnit?
Spoilers says yes- the mystery will deepen this week and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) will no longer be the top suspect. But who slides into Detective Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) radar next?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Salem’s Whodunnit Heats Up – Who Shot Charlie Dale (Mike Manning)?
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) still cannot account for the missing hours from that night but he does remember gunshots…I guess you would if you shot someone!
Audiences agree, Sami seems to be very shoddily covering for someone. It would be a little out of character for Sami to protect her step-father, but she could be on one of her short-lived redemption tours, feeling guilty for ‘causing’ John’s aneurism.
However, spoilers say John is not the person Rafe will be questioning next. Apparently the smoking gun, which had Sami’s fingerprints all over it, belongs to Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow).
Will Kate snitch on her grand daughter and tell Rafe that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) stole the gun from her to wave at Tripp Dalton’s (Lucas Adams), er…parts?
Of course it would make a world of sense if Sami was covering for her daughter who was raped by the dead victim. Plus, Allie is said to start behaving kinda shady, piquing Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) concern.
But isn’t that just a little too neat and tidy for DOOL? Yes, it is.
My take is that Rafe is going to start noticing some incriminating things about his new roomie (or more likely, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) will because she’s 10 times the detective Rafe is).
It’s going to be mighty awkward for Rafe to bring up at the dinner table that he not only believes Ava dunnit–by way of Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) who mysteriously no longer has any mob troubles–but now she is blackmailing Sami into taking the heat. Perhaps Ava has her mob connections holding the elusive EJ DiMera (James Scott) hostage in Italy?
Whatever Sami did or saw, or thinks she saw, or is being told she saw, she will confide in her ex, Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo) this week. Will Sami be telling the truth or, as is usually the case with Sami, her lips are moving, therefore she must be lying?
Watch the whodunnit heat up this week on Days of Our Lives, airing on NBC weekdays.
