David Dobrik’s Friends Speak Out On The Scandal!
The Youtuber got himself into some bother after he was accused of filming his previous vlog partner, Dominykas Zeglaitis, raping another girl. The fallout has caused several people to respond, one of which has been Natalie. She has worked with David as an assistant, and naturally, the claims have upset her. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she stated how shocked she was by the claims.
She said: “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the recent allegations, and because of the severity, it’s taken me time to process. Like many of you, I’m upset and angry and do not condone the behaviour detailed in the article or any sexual misconduct/abuse for that matter.” This was extremely difficult for Natalie, given that she and David have been very close friends for a while.
While some friends may choose to back one and another, during times of hardship, Natalie let everyone know that she supported the victim irrespective of David. She added: “I want to make it clear that I acknowledge, hear and support those who came forward, and I stand by the victims.” Not only did Natalie express some words, but another member close to David, Jeff, did the same.
It had been claimed that Jeff was responsible for ensuring that the victim had been drinking. This was a major allegation as she was underage at the time. Although he has subsequently denied it, the criticism coming his way has forced Jeff to act. In a previous video, which has now been removed, Jeff said: “It just makes me angry because it is so not true.” Following the video, Jeff started to receive criticism en masse, which forced him to apologise.
In an interview on the Frenemies podcast, Jeff revealed how something bad did happen which would justify the victim’s claims. He stated: “There were a lot of things I said wrong and did wrong in that video…But something horrible did happen. And people knew about it. And they didn’t tell me…I can’t be accountable for anybody but myself.”
