Jeff Probst, who happens to be the host of the hit-tv show Survivor, has seen the show receive criticism in light of the fact that it will go ahead during the pandemic.

‘Survivor’ Spoilers: The Show Is Criticised For Going Ahead During The Pandemic

The show will enter into the 41st season, and by all accounts, it will continue to remain in Fiji, where the previous seasons have done so. The series places contestants on an island in an attempt to see who can last the longest and walk out victorious for a cash prize through a series of trials. Naturally, there has been a small backlash to the show, given that fans have expressed concerns over safety due to the pandemic.

But only that, given that there have been restrictions on travel, for the most part, it has been questioned whether this should go ahead, especially on an island as beautiful as Fiji. Not to worry, though. Jeff has reassured fans that all safety protocols will be followed. In a video post to his fans, Jeff stated how he is ready for the new season.

He said: “Fiji has invited us back to their beautiful country to shoot season 41. We have all of our COVID protocols in place so that everybody in Fiji will remain safe, all of our crew will be safe, and, of course, our players will be safe.” The excitement is to be expected and why should it not be? After all, it is not like Jeff will be doing the trials himself.

He will have the privilege of enjoying the beautiful island. He added: “I’ve got to tell you, I can’t remember a time when I’ve been this pumped to shoot Survivor, and I’ll tell you why: The past year has reminded me, and I hope it’s reminded you that you’ve got to live your life like it’s one big, great adventure, and Survivor fulfils that.” But if the new season is any as good as the last one, then the fans will be in for a treat.

Previously, we saw Tony Vlachos walk away as the champion. The victory was not only sweet from an achievement point of view but also from a financial one. Tony had reportedly walked away with up to two million dollars. If that is not an incentive to get involved, then nothing will. We will have to see who will come out as the new winner. Stay tuned.
