British Royal Family News reveal that Thomas Markle elaborated on the last time he spoke to his daughter Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry.
British Royal Family News: Thomas Markle ‘Hung Up’ On Prince Harry
In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Thomas revealed that he spoke to Harry while he was in a hospital bed. He said: “The last time we spoke — actually, we didn’t speak, we actually texted each other — I was laying in a hospital bed after having a heart attack. I had to tell them that I couldn’t come to the wedding [in May 2018]. At that point, we had pretty much said goodbye.”
Naturally, the conversation went to the question of whether Thomas would be attending their wedding. And given that we know he did not, the tone of the conversation began to get bitter as Thomas remarked. He added: “Harry had said to me at that point, ‘If you had listened to me, this wouldn’t have happened to you.
“And me, laying in a hospital bed after I’ve had a procedure and getting a stent put here and a stent put here, felt that that was kind of snotty, so I hung up on him. And that’s the last conversation we ever had.” Interestingly, though, Thomas confirmed that he has been pulling out all the stops to get into contact with Meghan. Thomas, for his part, would be looking to clear up any misconceptions that may have been made about him.
And his comments suggest a willingness to have a relationship. He continued: “Bottom line is I’ve never heard back from Meghan or Harry in any way, shape or form. I would love to hear from them.” Meghan, during her tell-all interview on CBS, though, had resigned to the fact that she had lost her father. She previously said: “I grieve a lot. I mean, I’ve lost my father.
“I lost a baby. I nearly lost my name. I mean, there’s the loss of identity.But I’m still standing, and my hope for people in the takeaway from this is to know that there’s another side.” It will be fascinating to see whether Meghan and Thomas will ever get back in touch with each other.
