Blake Lively might be a huge Hollywood star these days, but there was a time in her life in which she certainly did break the rules and got in trouble for it, too. The blonde beauty says that when she was younger, she went to Disney Jail and no, she’s not kidding about it, either. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to the David Letterman in a new interview, Blake recalled the one time she went to “Disney Prison.” According to the OC Register, she said, “I grew up going to Disneyland like twice a week…my mom would take me out of school and take me to Disneyland But I was banned from Disneyland for a year because I went to Disney prison.”

Blake went on to say what she did that actually caused her to land behind bars at Mickey’s house. “You get a stamp when you leave the park. If you spray hairspray on it, you can transfer them to someone else’s hand,” she explained, adding, “So we go downstairs in Disneyland – it’s all white rooms, everyone is dressed in all white, the furniture is all white, and they just interrogated us…it was really scary and traumatizing.”
After Blake and her mom were caught, they were not allowed back into Disneyland for an entire year. And yes, Disney does reprimand guests who don’t follow the rules.
While security is much more modern these days with guests entering and reentering the parks, Disney Jail is still used as a place to hold disruptive guests.
“While Disney keeps its so-called “jail” under wraps, most have described the jail to look more like a security office or holding area. Depending on the incident, Disney security will hold perpetrators in the office until they figure out whether or not a more serious action needs to be taken,” according to Cheat Sheet.
