Bella Thorne and her lover Benjamin Mascolo have decided to take their relationship to the next stage by announcing their engagement.

In a post to his fans on Instagram, Benjamin let the world know the news. In the picture, we can see him holding up Bella’s hand as he has a massive grin on his face. The engagement ring can be clearly seen. The post was simply captured: “She said YES.” The two had been dating for around two years before they decided to get engaged. And by all accounts, things had been going very well.
Benjamin has been very supportive of Bella’s career as an actress, while Benjamin has been making waves as a musician. And in keeping with the excitement that they were feeling, the two posted another video to showcase their happiness. In a video posted on their Instagram, the two could be seen partying. Bella was heard saying: “Thank you for being amazing, baby. I love you so much,” to Benjamin said: “When are we getting married? Soon I hope. [We can have a] celebration in Italy and in America. Both.”
The two, though, did not have it so easy as critics did bash Bella not only in her personal life but also in her career. Given that Bella burst onto the scene as a 14-year old in the hit-show Shake it Up, there had always been extreme pressure on her to perform. While Benjamin’s influence has made it easier, it is not easy to forget the troubles that she had gone through. In a previous interview, Bella spoke about how destructive the acting industry could be.
She said: “People that are real talk about real things. I think that was much more important than my image. You just can’t react. If someone says you’re an ugly piece of s–t and you look bad, you’re thinking, ‘Am I really an ugly piece of s–t? Is that who I am?’ By doing that, you are giving those words weight. Those are really just words.”
It is good to see Bella and Benjamin being so happy in their lives after the difficult periods they had gone through. And long may that continue.
