’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Is Julia Trubkina Right That They Don’t Eat Lasagna in Russia?

’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells us that, according to Julia Trubkina, they do not eat Lasagna in Russia. That’s what she said when she and future Mother-in-Law, Betty Gibb, were making it together. I don’t think Julia had ever even seen lasagna before, she certainly wasn’t familiar with ricotta cheese, in fact she acted really surprised to find out that it even qualified to be cheese.

Actually, I’m amazed that Julia has ever even seen the inside of a kitchen and knows her way around, so it’s no surprise she wouldn’t be familiar with most American dishes. She didn’t really elaborate on what they ate in Russia, so I’ll just assume the vodka is very filling.

’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: They don’t eat Lasagna in Russia

It looks like she and Betty are getting along a little bit better than they were initially, but Betty again, wants to overstep her boundaries. Another thing that differs in Russia, when it comes to wedding traditions, is that a girl usually goes with her best friend to pick out wedding dresses.

Betty wants to go along on this trip because she doesn’t have any daughters to help pick out wedding dresses with in the future. Personally, I think it could be a good opportunity for them to bond, but Julia actually wants to do it with Brandon because he’s her best friend right now. The only thing is, in the US it’s considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.

Russian culture says that as long as you have a church wedding you’re good to go and that that means you will be with each other for the rest of your lives. She even pouted a bit at Brandon and told him that he “forgot her” and didn’t show her the church where they were supposed to get married. Brandond didn’t like that, so that’s when he brought up the idea of dress shopping.

Honestly, I think Brandon didn’t think that the wedding was actually happening due to all the COVID lockdowns (this was filmed last year at the beginning of lockdown) but Ron reminded him that there was no disobeying federal laws and they would still have to get married in 90 days. Thansk Ron, we really needed that reminder. However… that’s a good question, will anybody on 90 day fiance get to tie the knot this season? Stay tuned!!!
