‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Matt James Reacts To Rachael Kirkconnell’s Shocking Racist Past!

‘The Bachelor’ spoilers have found that Matt James confessed to contestant Rachael Kirkconnell during a romantic date on Monday night that he was falling in love with her. So, what does the bi-racial lead of the 25th season have to say now that racism from Rachael’s past has been dug up?

Monday night’s shopping spree date between James and Kirkconnell resulted in not only a confirmation of both their feelings, but bag after bag of designer clothes including a pair of Louboutins for Kirkconnell to take back to the mansion and parade in front of the other ladies.

However, while some viewers were swooning at the romance of it all, many more were igniting a Twitter storm of racist allegations against Kirkconnell.

Earlier in the season, a TikTok user accused Rachael of bullying her in high school for dating “black guys”. This instigated other social media users to dredge up old, racially-charged social media posts Rachael “liked”- i.e. posing with confederate flags and/or MAGA hats. Links were also made via her parents to Q Anon, but a lot of it seemed to be a bit of a stretch.

Either way, Twitter users were not happy to learn this.

So, what’s Matt’s take in all this? For all we know, he may have slid a  sparkly Neil Lane rock on her finger by now. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight the day after the Rachael-date aired he said, “I would say that you have to be really careful about what you are doing on social media.”

However, as he expanded, it seems he was more pointing the finger at the social media police, and not Rachael herself. “Rumors are dark and nasty and can ruin people’s lives. So, I would give people the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully she will have her time to speak on that.”

Are those the words of someone defending their betrothed or is Matt urging everyone to be mindful of cyber bullying? Bullying has been a major storyline this season. This week saw two of the major offenders, Victoria Larson and Anna Redman, being ejected from the Bachelor Mansion, much to the collective glee of Bachelor Nation.
