TMZ got Aaron Carter and Lamar Odom together in a Zoom call to discuss their upcoming boxing bout. With all of the celebrity boxing matches that have been happening lately, this one is one of the stranger matches. It feels like two celebrities trying to stay relevant.
The match will be in Atlantic City on June 12 at the Showboat Casino and will see the 6′ 10” basketball player against the 6′ child star. In the video, TMZ wants to know if Carter feels as though he has a chance going up against Odom, who is enormous comparatively and also an athlete. Carter doesn’t seem fazed at all and is prepared for bout.

Odom was quick to explain how he would knock him out, but it wouldn’t be anything personal. In fact, Lamar told him that afterward they could go out, get something to eat, maybe have a drink, and play some games. Dinner would even be on him just so Carter knew it was nothing personal when he knocked him out.
While Odom has trained in boxing for his NBA career for endurance and strength, Carter explains he’s been going about it a little different, referencing ‘Rocky 3’ and how he’s been doing the Clubber Lang style of training.
While the back and forth kept going on, it felt like this is going to be a one-sided event. Lamar is not only an athlete, with incredible size and reach advantage, but it also sounds like he’s the only one taking it seriously.
Carter even showed off scars on his lip to show that he’s been hit in the mouth before, to which Odom replied that he must have lost that fight. Overall, the call felt very strange and it was just to try to build hype before the match, though, if we’re being honest, is there really any hype over this?
