‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Spoilers: Kim Kardashian’s Lawyer Offers Her Ideal Relationship Advice
During an interview with WSJ Magazine, she stressed how speaking to your partner was critical for happiness. She said: “Communicate. Talk about everything. Talk about things that aren’t sexy. Have the kind of unromantic talk that you would have if you were going to enter into a prenuptial agreement even if you’re not entering into a prenuptial agreement:
“What do you feel is expected of you in this relationship, and what do you expect of your future spouse in this relationship? ” So did she offer insights as to what couples should not speak about? Well, yes by confirming that all conversations should be had. She added: “Everything from financial to family. My parents are older. I don’t want to put them in a home.
“Can they come live with us when they can’t take care of themselves? Are we having kids? Are they going to go to public or private [school]? How much are we going to put aside each month for retirement? You have huge student loans that you’re going to be paying with the money that we’re making during our marriage.”
Laura then went on to say how a prenuptial was the best way to achieve great communication. She continued: “It gives you the communication tools that you need when things aren’t going well. And ultimately, in every relationship. You’re going to have times when things aren’t going well. So while things are going well, hone those skills, so you know how to be able to come to each other during difficult times and talk about them.”
This would make sense given that Kim and Kayne did not have a prenuptial ready. This will ,no doubt, lead to a potentially long and drawn out divorce procedure. Although it may not seem to be the most ‘romantic’ notion, Kim and Kanye could have resolved their disputes quicker if they had signed one. So what does Laura have to gain? Nothing!
She simply said: “The biggest misconception about divorce attorneys is that we try to stir the pot. Most of us really do want to try and help people.” If you enjoyed reading this article, then make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
