John Travolta celebrated his 67th birthday earlier this week in what was a family and friend affair. It was one person, in particular, who made the celebrations worthwhile, John’s daughter, Ella.

In a post on Instagram, she posted a picture of the two, along with her brother, Benjamin. The post paid homage to her father and was captioned with the following comments: “Happy Birthday to the most incredible man I have ever known. You are not only the best Dad ever, but you are also my best friend. Thank you for raising us, helping us and loving us and thank you for all of the good you do every day.

“The world is so lucky to have you, and so are we. I love you, Daddy. I had the best time celebrating your birthday with you yesterday.” And John was naturally moved by the message. He responded with: “I’d like to thank everyone for all of the amazing birthday wishes and thank you for the 4.6 billion views on the #DoTheScottsSlide hashtag contest on TikTok! I love you all.”
It is good to see John doing so well. After all, he has been through a lot lately, in particular, with the passing of his wife, Kelly Preston. She had been battling breast cancer privately for two years. A representative for her at the time said: “She had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends.”At the time of her passing, John took the news very hard and was saddened by it.
In response, he left an emotional tribute in memory of her. He said at the time: “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.” It is good to see John having some happiness in his life and his children have been central to that.
He does deserve it after the terrible ordeal that he has been through. And long may that happiness continue.
