If you have a trip planned to Disney World in the coming weeks and are hoping to squeeze in as much time as possible in one of their four favorite theme parks (or maybe even all of them), you’re in luck.
That’s because there are new reports that says each of the four theme parks in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl. Will extend their hours for the first week in March. In other words, 2021 isn’t looking that bad after all. Here’s what you need to know.
Disney World Is Extending Hours In All Four Theme Parks Beginning In March
While it’s almost been a full year since the coronavirus pandemic has managed to change life as we know it, Walt Disney World is doing everything it can to bring back a little normalcy back to its parks.
Even though Disneyland in California is yet to open its doors to Disney fans and guests, Walt Disney World has been operating at about 30 percent capacity since last summer.
Now it looks like Disney wants to add a full hour of magic back. Fox News Business reports that each of Disney World’s four theme parks will reportedly be open for an extra hour than what was previously scheduled.
The Magic Kingdom will open at 9 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Epcot will be open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. during this time period as well.
Over at Hollywood studios, the park will operate from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and the Animal Kingdom will open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
Back in December, it was reported that Disney World is no longer spacing guests on some rides as part of their Covid-19 safety protocol.
Recent reports say that the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, Expedition Everest and Slinky Dog Dash have begun to load guests in every row in a change from the parks’ original health and safety protocol instituted upon reopening last summer.
Apparently, these rides were selected because they feature higher backs that create more of a physical barrier between guests.
