‘Days of our Lives’ spoilers have found that the moment fans have hoped for is finally here. Ciara is back and she’s alive. And being held captive. But who is keeping Ciara locked up in the glassed-in 1980’s middle of Oklahoma B&B themed room?
Rhodes (Jason Downs)—the cowboy with the key—tells Ciara he’s cashing the checks that Vincent is writing from prison but is that really what’s happening here?
‘Days of our Lives’ Spoilers: We’re not buying that Vincent Belman (Michael Teh) is responsible for holding Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) captive.
Vincent was the last person to see Ciara alive. However, the revenge he was exacting on Ciara’s husband Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) for murdering fiancé, Wendy Taylor (Denise Duff) all blew up in Vincent’s face. In the most literal of senses.
Of course, Vincent wasn’t working alone. In fact, he was really the lackey for Eve Donovan (Kassie DePavia), also out to avenge the murder of her daughter, Paige Larson (True O’Brien) at Ben’s hand. Hey, when you marry a reformed serial killer, you’ve got to expect a few bumps in the road.
Is Eve somehow still involved with Vincent. Or is there a third party lording over the two jailbirds who is truly responsible for Ciara’s kidnapping?
Marrying a murderer will put a price over your head. Couple that with being the daughter of ex-Salem Police Commissioner, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso)—arch nemesis of The Phoenix himself, Stefan DiMera (Joseph Mascolo)—and you’re a sitting duck for trouble your whole life.
Now one theory to Ciara’s dilemma has materialized out of left field. And it is quickly gaining traction.
See, Hope isn’t the only Brady woman who has been responsible for putting people behind bars. Longtime DOOL fans will remember a younger Ciara had ex step-brother and rapist, Chase Jennings (Jonathon McClendon) locked up.
With daddy, Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove), a high powered attorney, the pair could easily be the ones pulling the strings from out in Oregon (their last known location). Why exactly after all these years would they want to mess with Ciara and Hope? We’ll leave that up to head writer Ron Carlivati to decide.
It will likely be until at least February Sweeps before we find out who’s really responsible for keeping Ciara behind glass. We just hope Carlivati has a satisfying exit strategy. Both Victoria and Kristian are adamant about not returning to the soap full time (or anytime according to Kristian).
Sidenote: Is there something more than grieving to Ben’s visions of Ciara? Is she astral-travelling but with some sort of mystical gag order that won’t let her physically say she’s alive? Okay, go ahead and scoff at the far-fetched theory, but may I remind you of a certain devil-possession storyline that no Days fan will ever be able to forget?
Tune in to Days of our Lives weekdays at 1pm ET on NBC to see where this ride takes us!
