Tina Knowles-Lawson, who is the mother of Beyonce, has commended Jay Z in an emotional letter for the success that the rapper has had.

In a post to her fans on Instagram, she revealed that she praised the rapper due to his record label, Roc Nation, which provided the Super Bowl entertainment. She said: “Everyone was psyched about it! Each person that performed Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R. and The Weekend all slaying their performances and making Black Excellence shine and us all proud.
“I could not help but remember when J took on being in charge of the Entertainment at the Super Bowl and saying that things would never change unless we had someone on the inside that could make decisions. Someone at the top.”
But it was not just that sole business adventure that impressed Tina. In fact, she was impressed with how Jay remains single-minded even in the face of criticism. She continued: “One thing that I’ve noticed about Jay is that he doesn’t let what people say bully him into not doing the things that he knows are right. Jay, I salute you and your Latest venture … You are a badass brother, and I hope that you continue to pave the way for others like you have in the past!!
And I have seen such extreme kindness and generosity so many times that people don’t even know anything about! You are a true man who has admitted publicly when you’ve made mistakes in a very brave and classy way! You have, in turn, influenced the Culture of Young Black Men. You are a Badass brother. I love you so much!!”
It is not just Jay who wants to leave a legacy. Tina has her own aspirations too. She has previously spoken on how she wants to make a difference in people’s lives, and there is no one better to do that with than Jay, or at the very least use his connections to do so. She told Us Weekly:
“Well, what I want to be remembered by is that I made a difference in life. Nothing else matters as much as that.
