Taylor Swift’s alleged feud with Karlie Kloss has resurfaced once again with claims that Karlie inspired her new song in her latest album Evermore. In response to the increasing speculation, Taylor went on to explain the meanings of her two tracks “Right Where You Left Me” and “It’s Time to Go.”
Why Taylor Swift And Karlie Kloss Fell Out
In an Instagram post, she said: “The evermore deluxe album with two bonus tracks’ right where you left me’ and ‘it’s time to go’ is now available! “The first is a song about a girl who stayed forever in the exact spot where her heart was broken, completely frozen in time. ‘it’s time to go’ is about listening to your gut when it tells you to leave. How you always know before you know, you know?”
But looking at the lyrics, it is hard not to see the comparisons with Taylor and Karlie. Her bonus song “Right Where You Left Me,” refers to an ever poignant lyric: “Friends break up, friends get married.” Speculation is one thing, and reaction from fans is another. So what did Taylor’s fans think of all this?
On Twitter one fan wrote: “TAYLOR DRAGGING KARLIE?? We love to see it” whereas another said: “People are really thinking Taylor isn’t deeply hurt by Karlie when she wrote both those bonus tracks about her clearly.” And yet, for all the social media hype, have the two ever addressed it?
As expected in the celebrity world, not yet. So where have the rumours of a tiff stemmed from? By all accounts, it could be due to the connection that Karlie has had with Taylor’s former manager Scooter Braun who infamously sold Taylor’s masters leading to an all-out dispute. However, before the alleged dispute, how did the two first meet?
The duo worked together on an issue for Vogue magazine in 2015. After the issue, Taylor was excited, to say the least: “People had been telling us for years we needed to meet. “I remember makeup artists and hair people going, ‘Doesn’t she remind you of Karlie? God, she and Karlie would be best friends. They’re the same.”
What a difference a few years make with the two scared or reluctant to address this topic. If you enjoyed reading this article, then make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
