Things have just come to a crashing halt on the hit show The Real Housewives of New York after it emerged that there was a positive test for coronavirus which caused filming to come to a crashing halt.

‘The Real Housewives Of New York’ Spoilers: Filming Stops As Unnamed Member Tests Positive For Covid On Set

Garcelle Beauvais went on to confirm the news, “We shot for Housewives on Tuesday. Tuesday night, we got home and found out a few people on our crew tested positive for COVID.” The impact was very profound as a source told Us Weekly the adverse impact it had on the cast:

“It has caused the rest of the cast to become stressed over this. Production shut down and now everyone is on [a] standstill until the person who has COVID quarantines and then tests negative. Everything is on hold, including the trip they were supposed to take to Upstate New York.”

However, the insider went on to reveal that filming had been wrapped up before the positive test: “[They had] basically done filming, but then someone tested positive, and production had to stop immediately. No can replace anybody on the Housewives — no matter who [is] new [that] enters. Nobody can replace anybody, period. Anyone who is new brings something different to the table. It’ll be the best season ever.”

And yet, there has been no disclosure as to who actually tested positive. Until that has been confirmed, rumours will naturally continue to circulate. However, it is vital to bear in mind that this has not been an isolated incident amongst the Real Housewives and not just in the New York series.

Fellow stars of the franchise, Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley have also tested positive for the virus. And it was Kylie, in particular, who suffered more given that her daughter had also tested positive. She told her fans on Instagram, the exact details:

“Since I was diagnosed, I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy. Unfortunately, [my daughter] Sophia also got it. We will stay in isolation until it’s safe to see the family and others again. I can’t wait to hug them.”
