Netflix’s ‘Tiger King’ find that even though she was accused of killing her husband Don Lewis by his family and her onscreen rival Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin says that she would still love him today if he were still around.
While no one will probably know exactly what happened the day that Don Lewis disappeared, Carole says that she certainly misses him every single day. Here’s what she has to say.
Netflix’s ‘Tiger King’: Star Carole Baskin Doesn’t Know If Her Husband Don Lewis Is Dead Or Alive, But Woud Love Him Anyway
In a new interview with Fox News, Carole is once again defending herself against the accusations that have made against her after the mysterious disappearance and death of her husband, Don Lewis.
Back in 1997 he went missing and was ultimately declared dead by authorities. Carole was never charged with a crime related to the cold case.
Carole says that the Netflix docuseries hasn’t really helped her and her reputation much at all, as she became an overnight internet meme when Tiger King came out during the very early months of the pandemic.
“It’s been a challenge with everything else that’s going on to have people accusing me of things that I know are untrue,” Baskin shared. “If they did five minutes [of investigating] they would know [the claims] are untrue. They were so convinced by what they saw.”
And even though Carole is currently married to her second husband Howard Baskin, should Don Lewis re-emerge from wherever he is right now, she says that she would still love him today.
“I loved Don and I feel like whatever happened to him happened to him because of the fact that he had such a problem mentally,” Baskin claimed. “He just wasn’t able to make good decisions for himself and so if he were to be found, I would take care of him for the rest of his life and my husband Howie is the kind of person who would understand that.”
