Jamie Lynn Spears, who is the sister of pop star Britney Spears, has thrown light on her comments about Elon Musk after she blamed his Tesla cars for being the reason she crashed into her cats which then killed them.
Jamie Lynn Spears Bizarrely Claimed Tesla Car Killed Her Pets Before Backtracking Comments
In a bizarre story full of contradictions, it is hard to know whether to laugh or cry. The star recently revealed she has tragically run over multiple family pets with her electric car. The reason being it is almost silent upon acceleration and driving.
The star revealed that she had mistakenly killed her daughter’s cat called Turkey and responded by blaming Elon on Instagram: “I know there’s bigger things to worry about in the world right now, but someone’s got to let Elon Musk know that the Tesla is a secret cat killer. And it’s a problem, we’ve really got to fix.”
“We have, now, lost, I don’t even want to tell you how many cats because they don’t hear the Tesla Crank and unfortunate things happen. And it’s really devastating and tragic for everyone involved. Elon Musk, let’s figure this out. I mean, you owe me a couple cats. Yes, I am fully aware that there’s some user error involved in this, but I’m just saying, you know, let’s collaborate to save some cats’ lives.”
The comments naturally gained traction on social media with many critics emerging. As such, Jamie backtracked her comments and instead explained what she had really meant. She told her fans on Instagram the following:
” 1) I did not run over any cats. 2.) TESLA is not to be blamed, and was never intended to be 3.) user error is admittedly involved. 4.) we always check for animals before moving a vehicle. 5.) I was only making a suggestion about something I think would be extremely helpful, and the geniuses at @teslamotors are the best to go.”
Let us hope that Jamie has learned from this experience to drive more carefully, or better yet, maybe Elon will take up her offer and do a collaboration on a range of animal-friendly Tesla cars. Let us hope it is the latter.
