Gwyneth Paltrow’s son, Moses, continues to struggle amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The 14-year-old has found it hard to adapt to life with Gwyneth becoming worried at the impact it could have on her son.
Gwyneth Paltrow: Actress Worried For Her Son Moses Amid The Pandemic
When speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, the Hollywood actress said: “My son would have started high school in September. I think it’s hard socially. I think it’s very hard to be 14 and it’s tough on the ones that are still in the most intense developmental stages, I sort of observed.”
She continued to tell Jimmy that had it not been for her son’s skateboarding, things would have gotten a lot worse: “He can do a lot of solo, outside exercise and work on skills and tricks and stuff like that. I’ve been amazed how adaptable kids are during this time and how agile they’ve been.”
Gwyneth is having a challenging time. And who would not be if they were in her position? Her divorce to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has had an impact on both Gwyneth and her parental duties. Following their split in 2014, they shared two children one of which included Moses.
Gwyneth is still fond of Chris. When speaking to Stephen Colbert, she said: “He’s really like my brother. We’re very familiar. It’s nice. I think we genuinely wanted our kids to be as unscathed as possible. And we thought, if we could really maintain the family even though we weren’t a couple, that was kind of the goal. So that’s what we’ve tried to do.”
That still holds to this day, especially in light of further comments she made on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Gwyneth went on to outline the role that Chris still has to this day :
“Chris and I committed to putting them first, and that’s harder than it looks because some days you really don’t want to be with the person that you are getting divorced from. But if you’re committed to having family dinner, then you do it. You take a deep breath, and you look the person in the eye, and you remember your pact, and you smile, and you hug, and you recommit to this new relationship that you are trying to foster.”
