British Royal Family News: Prince William And Kate Middleton Welcome New Puppy Into Their Family
The addition is welcomed in light of the death of their previous dog Lupo, who passed away at the back end of last year. When announcing the sad news, the Royals at the time posted this message: “Very sadly, last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years, and we will miss him so much.”
But James is no stranger to gifting them pets. In 2011, he gave a Cocker Spaniel as their wedding gift. When speaking on Lupo, James told ABC News: “My little treat to them was to give them a puppy. And Lupo was their gift.” Naturally, the passing of Lupo was felt very dearly by James, who left some heart-warming words to mark his death:
“Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a dog,” he wrote. “For those who have never had a dog, it might be hard to understand the loss. However for those who have loved a dog know the truth: a dog is not just a pet; it is a member of the family, a best friend, a loyal companion, a teacher and a therapist.
“There isn’t much of a rule book on how to grieve for a dog, but I’ve said a prayer, lit a candle and taken Ella (Mum) for a long walk to spend time remembering Lupo. Rest in peace Lupo. Tilly & Mini will be waiting for you. You will always be remembered, and your legacy will live on forever. Good Boy.”
However, as sad as the passing is, it is essential to note this point. James confirmed that in May last year another puppy called Luna was in fact, Lupo’s sister. As destiny would prescribe, she had six puppies who were ready to find a new home. It is with this that James and the Royals will always remember Lupo.
After all, one of them could find their way into William and Kate’s home. Watch this space. If you enjoyed reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit TVRocker for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
