’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells that the saga with Andrew and Amira is absolutely nail-biting! When Andrew Kenton planned the trip for he and fiancé Amira Lollysa to begin the journey of their lives together, no one counted on poor Amira being stuck in a detention center in Mexico City because of a pandemic, but that’s exactly what happened.
The original plan, because the US wasn’t accepting anyone in via flights from Europe at the time of that filming due to COVID was that Amira land in Mexico and they quarantine for 14 days there and then drive back into the US. Andrew thought that it would work because according to him, other people had done it, but unfortunately it didn’t work out that way for Amira.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Won’t somebody help Andrew?
Now, Andrew is knocking himself out trying to find someone at the airport who speaks english in order to help him get his fiance to her original destination. He’s been on the phone constantly trying to get someone to help him.
However, my question is to TLC since they obviously have the money for a translator why on earth didn’t they help him get to Amira earlier?! I mean, I would understand if they couldn’t but this is life or death, literally.
It’s not like in the days pre-COVID where if you were detained then it was just a minor annoyance, this could quite possibly mean that Amira is actually being exposed to the pandemic, which means she could give it to Andrew, who could give it to his Mom, who works around kids – see? This isn’t safe.
So TLC really needed to use their producer powers here in order to get their castmember to safety, because while a nailbiter does make for good TV, when someone’s actual life is at stake, that’s not good TV at all. Sorry but this isn’t 90 day fiancé – Covid Catch edition, or at least it shouldn’t be.
Hamdi Lollysa, Amira’s Father, seemed worried but he also seemed fair about the situation. He did tell Andrew that he felt he forced Amira to come and Andrew apologized for it, which came off as really sincere to me.
Hamdi is understandably concerned, if it were my daughter I’d be worried too, but the thing is, even though he was worried, he kept his cool. This is a good thing for Andrew.
Still, if I were the TLC producers I would be busting my hump to get someone on the phone in order to get this poor girl out. She agreed to film her relationship for a TV show, she didn’t agree to be taken prisoner in a foriegn land over reality TV views.
I think we’re all worried about her, I know I am. I wish someone would step in and help Andrew though, he seems totally lost and like he really wants to save her, but literally no one will tell him how! Geeze. Stay tuned!!!
