So now, it looks like Discovery and all of its partnered channels are teaming up for a subscription service called Discovery Plus. It’ll be $4.99 a month with ads and $6.99 a month without ads. So right now, the price is pretty reasonable. It also looks like there will be four new 90 day spin-off shows in the works, including one called 90 day diaries which looks really, really interesting.
Apparently because of COVID restrictions it was filmed similarly to the 90 day self-quarantine show, where the couples just filmed themselves on their phone without interference from producers or crew.
What to expect from Discovery Plus
Apparently Jenny and Sumit are one of the ones that are going to be showcased on this particular program and the producers have said that their relationship is actually much worse than what was portrayed on the show, I mean, I really don’t know how it can get any worse than what it was but we’ll see.
From the previews there is also some clips of Deavan and Jihoon so we’ll see what all went down there or if they actually use any of that footage. It could be like Stepanka said, they’re just using teaser footage from old shows and there’s not actually going to be any of the Deavan and Jihoon drama on the show at all.
Also, there have been talks that DIscovery Plus is going to launch talk shows and game show type shows starring the 90 day cast. The game show thing I’m kind of here for because initially I thought 90 day fiance was a game show anyway and I thought that whomever won got a chance for their wedding to be paid for, but no, it was just a reality TV show.
They said that the talk shows would carry talent like Angela Deem and Big Ed Brown… wait, Big Ed’s going to have a talk show? Angela I can kind of see, but Big Ed? There’s some backlash waiting to happen. Either way, I’m waiting for the Plathville tell-all and what all that will entail. (Even though they have not said anything about expending that particular universe.) Stay tuned!!!
