Either she can’t quit the internet or the internet simply can’t quit her. After being outted for having a fake Spanish accent and distorting the truth about her supposed Spanish heritage and background, Hilaria Baldwin vowed to take a break from social media only to share 8 posts within a few short hours. Clearly, she has a lot on her mind.
After Hilaria admitted that her real name is in fact Hilary and that she was born in Boston and not Mallorca, as was previously suggested, Twitter did what it does best and trolled her for her supposed lie.
Hilaria Baldwin Can’t Quit The Internet – Shares 8 ‘Baldwinito’ Posts After Vowing To Quit Social Media
“I said my piece. I’m gonna … I’m so tired,’’ the beleaguered hip-bending wife of actor Alec Baldwin said in a post that she shared on Sunday afternoon. I’m going to go back to my family because I’ve not been a very good mommy, spending a lot of time focusing on this. I’m going to sign off for a long time.’’
And while a lot of people have a different definition as to what a “long time” may be, Hilaria went back to posting photos of her children – or her ‘Baldwinitos’ as she likes to refer to them – a few hours after her first Instagram message.
The tweet storm of allegations began when Twitter user Leni Brisco wrote, “You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her decade long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person.”
The internet did what it does best and it pulled up a number of videos of Hilaria’s past television appearances to prove that her Spanish accent isn’t real. If that weren’t enough, several of her former classmates came forward to confirm that Hilaria was in fact raised in Weston, Massachusetts, and not in Spain.
However, Hilaria took to her Instagram account to clarify a few things by saying, “Let’s be very clear that Europe has a lot of white people in there and my family is white. Ethnically, I am a mix of many, many, many things. Culturally, I grew up with two cultures so it’s really as simple as that.”
Hilaria also said, “I was born in Boston and grew up spending time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain. My parents and sibling live in Spain and I chose to live here, in the USA.”
