‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers tells that Ethan can be sometimes, there are others when you have to feel for him. Like when he was outside tooling around with that motorcycle he had, he rattled off the specs like an expert mechanic who knew exactly what he was doing, and for the most part it looks like he does.
However when it comes to the most important relationship of his life, his knowledge seems to be sorely lacking, and he admits hit. “Every car from 1900 to 2020 has a user’s manual, but Olivia doesn’t come with one of those.”
‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers: Olivia did not come with a user’s manual
The good thing is, he’s totally willing to try and learn and become the emotional pillar of support that Olivia needs, because Olivia did say that he expressed a willingness to try and make up for his previous behavior. However I guess it was time for Olivia to work, and for Ethan to process things and clear his head, so he went out to do what he does best and try and get his motorcycle running.
The motorcyle is a 95 mitsubishi intruder, and the original owner told them that if he could get it running then it was his for free. Apparently Ethan was confident he could fix it, so here he is, trying his best to get it running.
Ethan said that while he fixed cars, he could literally block out anything and everything that was bothering him. I guess the old saying is true that if you find something you love to do that you’ll never work a day in your life, and when Ethan was working on the motorcycle he seemed to be transported to a different place, a place that was free of marital problems and parental stress, a place where he could be free.
All people need that, a space that is truly theirs, where they can feel like they know exactly what they’re doing, a judgement free zone in order to process things. Will Ethan ever be more emotionally mature? We don’t know yet, but the good thing is, that he’s totally willing to try. Stay tuned!!!
