British Royal Family News suggests that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rift with the royal family is widening at rapid speed, as staffers back at Buckingham Palace say that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are insisting on doing things their own way, “whatever the cost.”

Apparently, Harry and Meghan are none too pleased that the royal family is refusing the bend the rules for them, despite the fact that they themselves pulled the plug on their working relationship with them back in January. Here’s what you need to know.

British Royal Family News: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Rift With The Royal Family Is Widening

According to OK! Magazine, royal expert Katie Nicholl believes that the rift between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals will get worse before it gets better. This comes after the royal family refused to lay down a wreath on Prince Harry’s behalf on Remembrance Day.

In retaliation, Harry and Meghan decided to honor Remembrance Day their own way by hiring a photographer to follow them around at Los Angeles National Cemetery in what a lot of people are now calling a very embarrassing photo op.

Nicholl puts it this way, “It highlights the great divide between Harry and the royal family. There is such a gaping cavern now and exercises like this only serve to widen that gap rather than heal the rift. Harry and Meghan do things very differently to the royal family and to me it shows how determined they are to do things their own way whatever the cost.”

With that said though, a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said that they simply chose to recognize Remembrance Day their own way, regardless of what anyone had to say about it.

The spokesperson said, “It was important to the duke and duchess to be able to personally recognize Remembrance in their own way, to pay tribute to those who have served and to those who gave their lives. The couple laid flowers that the duchess picked from their garden at the gravesites of two commonwealth soldiers, one who had served in the Royal Australian Air Force and one from the Royal Canadian Artillery.”
