Netflix’s ‘Trial 4’ details the life of Sean Ellis, who was a troubled teen in the wrong place at the wrong time. He’s been in jail for 22 years for a crime he did not commit and years later he’s been allowed a 4th trial to clear his name.
Ellis was charged in 1993 for the killing of a Boston police officer but claims he was just at the store, bought his things and left. This new Netflix documentary will present the cases and look to prove that Ellis was falsely accused and that he has been spending the last 22 years in prison for something he did not do.
Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,
“A Boston man facing his 4th trial for murdering a police officer fights to prove his innocence and expose the police corruption that unjustly put him away for 22 years. In 1993, Sean Ellis was a troubled teen in the wrong place at the wrong time. He went through three trials within a year before a jury could convict him of the murder of Officer Mulligan. Sean served 22 years in jail for a crime he did not commit. Years later, exculpatory evidence around the handling of his case allows Sean to have the 4th trial. Charged as a teen in the 1993 killing of a Boston cop, Sean K. Ellis fights to prove his innocence while exposing police corruption and systemic racism.”
Netflix’s ‘Trial 4’ Trailer – The Fight For A Man’s Life In Prison
This is a hot button topic right now, especially in The United States, and if this documentary can prove the innocence of a man who was wrongly accused, who knows what could come next! It looks like the documentary will explore both sides of the case, but I think we can all gather that Ellis is not guilty.
Netflix’s ‘Trial 4’ releases next month on November 11.
