Kanye West is a powerhouse in the music industry, has had several successful businesses, and one of the most popular celebrities on the planet. However, to go along with his success, West has had his fair share of moments that made a lot of us wonder if he was alright.
When he speaks, it’s hard to keep up with everything that’s going on in his head. While on the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan acted as a type of mediator, between West and the audience and helped to clarify his thoughts and help people truly understand who he is underneath all the fame and fortune.
Joe Rogan Helps Explain Why Kanye West Is Misunderstood
Rogan really wanted to dive in on the fact that West had been institutionalized and put on prescriptions, and wanted everyone to know why and how it affected West. While he couldn’t remember the exact drugs he was on, West explained it as a downer, and the drugs made him feel inferior and not himself. In his words, “the mustang didn’t buck anymore”.
In the clip above, Rogan tries to once again steer West through the conversation and help explain why Kanye is so misunderstood. Whether you think he’s a brilliant genius or a mad scientist, it’s hard to deny that West has some creative strain in his mind that has helped him be this successful.
West had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, though he maintained that most of it was the media and Hollywood taking things out of context and making him sound crazy.
