Even though there was a time in which Ivanka Trump was considered a hot commodity in the entertainment and celebrity world, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. In fact, it’s quite the opposite as a week doesn’t go by without at least a handful of celebrities slamming the President’s daughter for one reason or another.
This time around it’s actress Olivia Wilde, who blasted the First Daughter for a photo that she shared of President Donald Trump working while sitting at an empty desk during his brief stay at Walter Reed Hospital this past weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
Ivanka Trump Really Doesn’t Have Any Friends In Hollywood
According to reports, Olivia is calling out Ivanka for a tweet that she shared on Saturday after it was revealed that the President had tested positive for Covid-19. While there were certainly plenty of conflicting reports about the President’s health, it appeared as though Donald Trump was still in good spirits and was healthy enough to be sitting up at a desk and doing his work.
Sharing a pic of her father, the proud daughter captioned it on Twitter with, “Nothing can stop him from working for the American people. RELENTLESS!”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for both fans and critics to respond to the photo, with a lot of them blasting the President for what they believe looks like a “staged photo op.” Olivia even responded with, “Oh honey we know this was staged. Stop underestimating the public you pretend to serve.”
If that weren’t enough, on Sunday President Trump tweeted out a video of himself at the hospital, followed by a short drive-by to see all of his supporters.
“We’re going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have,” Trump said. “They’ve been out there for a long time and they’ve got Trump flags and they love our country so I’m not telling anybody but you but I’m about to make a little surprise visit.”
Meanwhile, the White House said that “appropriate precautions” were taken for Trump’s trip and that the drive was cleared by the medical staff at Walter Reed.
