British Royal Family News suggests that there might have been at least one person behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace who hated Meghan Markle so much, that he or she decided to make it their mission to make her life as miserable as possible. And that person certainly succeeded, too. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, author Robert Lacey, who wrote the book, Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family In Tumult, he says that the reason why Meghan Markle had so many problems behind the scenes is because there was at least one royal staffer who legitimately hated her – and the feeling was certainly mutual.

“There was personal animosity in the palace towards Meghan — and the feeling is mutual,” says Lacey. “There was somebody in the palace — and I can’t name them — who hated Meghan. There is no love lost there.”
What’s more, Buckingham Palace was hoping that Prince Harry would marry someone of their kind – and not a former Hollywood actress who just happens to be biracial and a divorcee to boot, too. He said, “The palace expected Harry to marry a nice girl called Annabel or Henrietta and to go and live in the country. They didn’t expect this bombshell.”
If that weren’t enough, Lacey believes that Prince William has emerged unscathed for years while Prince Harry was the one who was always smeared, both by insiders at the palace and of course, by the media. He explains, “This [their Eton days] was the beginning of the relentless popular media stereotyping that would eventually drive Prince Harry out of Britain. The other face of that stereotype was, of course, the impeccable image of his perfect elder brother, golden boy Prince William.”
