If you’ve ever had Christmas in a large family, you’ll know how much of a struggle that the annual decorating can be, and sometimes you have to cut corners where needed. That’s why Deon Derrico said that buying the big fake Christmas tree was the best move for his family.
The good thing is about this, is that the little kids all get to help out in bringing it to the living room. Dad was there to coach, telling them to lift with their back and not their knees. Good advice, some adults could even still use that advice.
This fake tree also prevents them from having to load up the kids for another crazy car adventure to the Christmas tree farm, besides, I’m not sure I’d trust kids this small around axes. You know?
TLC ‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’ Spoilers: Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree!
GG arrived in the middle of decorating and not a moment too soon! The kids went absolutely wild over their Gigi! And Gigi also got to meet little Dyver and De’Aren. It looks like baby Dawsyn is not home from the hospital quite yet, she has a little bit of time to go recuperating from the surgery but they were hoping that she would be home in time for Christmas.
Going by TLC’s filming schedule, I’m goin to guess that this was filmed in 2019 so they were hoping for a Christmas miracle for Christmas of 2019 and the babies weren’t just born weeks ago. It doesn’t look like there’s any COVID restrictions in place at the time of this filming so it was probably filmed pre-quarantine.
Karen Derricos still wants to prepare for her little girl’s homecoming though. She wants the house to be filled with Christmas cheer and all decked out and ready for Santa, she even hinted a Christmas cookies. Although she was adamant that she would not be making them.
Hey, I stan, I’m not a cook either, Karen! The kids said that the house was “really happy and really sad at the same time” what that means in little kid speak is, they’re happy that it’s Christmas and that they have new babies in the house, but it’s sad that their baby sister is still struggling in the hospital while they celebrate.
Karen said that it would be devastating if little Dawsyn couldn’t come home for Christmas. But it looks like when Baby Dawsyn does come home, she’s going to have to have some special attention, i.e., a feeding tube. Will Karen have to get that Nanny ASAP so she can properly attend to Dawsyn? Stay tuned!!!
