Since the start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2008’s ‘IronMan’, the universe has had many great actors grace the screen with amazing heroes. Unfortunately, after more than a decade, Robert Downey Jr. has walked away from the character. Following in his steps, Chris Evans passed down his shield and we will see a new Captain America on-screen. However, one big man is still hanging on.
In an interview with ELLE MAN, Hemsworth commented on his role as the God of Lightning and what the future holds. When asked about his next outing as Thor in ‘Thor, Love and Thunder’, the 37-year-old has this to say,
“After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited. For sure in this production, there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning (laughs). I’m glad that after all that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I’m still part of the Marvel Universum and we can continue the story of Thor. I will say that reading the script I had a lot more fun than on “Thor Ragnarok”, and that shows something because this movie was brilliant.”

Thor Star Chris Hemsworth Doesn’t Think He’ll Be Going Anywhere Anytime Soon
Hemsworth was also asked about his retirement. With a female version of Thor coming, will he be asked to pass his hammer down and step back? Hemsworth said,
“Are you crazy ?! I’m not going into any retirement period (laughs). Thor is far too young for that. It is only 1500 years old! It is definitely not a film that I say goodbye to this brand. At least I hope so.”
Hemsworth looks to be around for the long haul and apparently believes there’s much for his Thor to adventure through. What do you think? Are you excited to hear that Hemsworth will be sticking around as Thor? Let us know in the comments below.
