It’s all coming together! It’d be hard to imagine a ‘Scream’ film without Sidney Prescott, but thankfully it’s been reported that the actress Neve Campbell has signed on to reprise her iconic role! Campbell starred as the franchise’s leading lady through all four of Wes Craven’s ‘Scream’ films.
Campbell also joins old cast members, David Arquette (Dewey Riley) and Courtney Cox (Gale Weathers). The new film is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence, the filmmaking group behind horrors like ‘Ready or Not’ and ‘V/H/S’.
Radio Silence said the following in a statement,
“We’re pinching ourselves! It’s hard to express how much the character Sidney Prescott shaped our love of movies and to have the chance to work with Neve is truly a dream come true. It just wouldn’t be a Scream movie without Neve and we’re so excited and honored to join her in Woodsboro.”
