Cardi B Wanted Lizzo In Her Controversial WAP Video

Was Kyle Jenner a last minute idea? That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder to themselves this week as Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, known as Cardi B recently revealed that she wanted Lizzo to be in her controversial but viral video for her new son with Megan Thee Stallion, WAP. Here’s what she has to say.

Without going into too much detail, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new video has certainly gotten a lot of attention these last few weeks for its explicit nature.

While some people can’t get enough of it, others are finding it very hard to look away, despite the fact that it has been heavily criticized, both on and off line. With that said though, there’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that the video would have been even more epic with the inclusion of chart topper Lizzo.

In a new interview with Hot 97 this week, Cardi B makes it no secret that she really wanted Lizzo to be a part of the video. She said, I’m cool with Lizzo and everything.

Like, we’ve been sending DMs to each other and all that. But she was on vacation and she wasn’t in town. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ because I had a whole vision about how I want to see Lizzo and everything.”

“It was so important to me to include different women that are different races and come from different backgrounds, but are so powerful and influential.”

The video also featured female artists Normani and Doja Cat. However, there was a petition to have reality television star Kylie Jenner removed from the clip – despite only being there for a few seconds – by thousands of disgruntled fans.
