TLC ‘My Pregnant Husband’ spoilers is asking how does one navigate being pregnant while being trans? Well, there’s always the question of other people’s opinions. Both Miles and Ari were originally quiet about their pregnancies, even though they did not initially want to be, because when you have such joyous news and you’re in a loving, healthy relationship, who wants to keep it to themselves?
But being trans, one has to still tread carefully in this world. Ari and his partner finally came out to their next door neighbors, it is safe to say that their families already knew, but Ari said specifically that if their neighbors weren’t so open to the possibility that he did not want to live next door to someone who could possibly expose their child to hate, and I can’t say I blame him.
TLC ‘My Pregnant Husband’ Spoilers: How does one navigate being pregnant while being trans?
Miles on the other hand had a way different, way more hazardous problem close to late-term in the pregnancy. It looked like Miles was, at one point going to lose their daughter anyway because his cervix was thin and the doctor said that that could mean that the pregnancy could go at any time.
But then one day while Miles was out someone accused him of putting clothing under his shirt. Police were called, Miles was arrested, but he called out to be gentle because he was pregnant. When the officers lifted up his shirt, they were amazed and all of them felt really bad.
Of course they had to let him go when there was no evidence that there was any clothing under his shirt, just a baby bump, but for someone who’s pregnancy is already in peril, that is scary. The sad thing is, Miles, who seems to be a gregarious person, had to remain inside a lot for the remainder of his pregnancy.
I am glad that Ari and Caitlin don’t have to live next to someone who would expose their child to hate. I’m glad that for the formative years of their life, that Ari and Caitlin’s child will be exposed to those who are open to different viewpoints on gender and sexuality and will grow up in a loving and reaffirming household.
In Miles’s case, and in today’s climate, I am so glad that he got Chicago’s more understanding Police officers because there was a chance that that could have gone way south, and that he could have lost the baby, However, it begs the question, do Black Lives Matter when they’re black, trans, and pregnant?
I’m glad to these particular police officers, that they did. A lot of officers could take a lesson from that, just saying. I am concerned about Miles however, if he ever decides to do this again. There is a severe lack of empathy in the world right now, and my prayer is that that is remedied soon. Stay tuned!!!
