‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Next Week: Paige Larson (True O’Brien) Returns From the Dead, In Shock – Gabi Admits Attraction To Jake – promises returns and romance

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers for the week of August 24th reveal a little bit of romance. Plus, it seems the writers have a sense of humor about the genre. Let’s take a look at the weekly promo. Of course, after we agree that the fire graphic in the promo never happened? Okay?

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Tropes

So, we love the promo this week has a bit of a sense of humor. Let’s face it: we love our soaps, but they are a bit out there at times. And they do tend to follow patterns. It’s part of what makes these shows fun at times. One of the soap tropes we seem to be getting next week? Characters back from the dead.

Namely, Paige Larson (True O’Brien). We’d mentioned she’s supposed to be back, and it happens next week. We’re betting on the early part of the week. Maybe even Monday, as the promo seemed to show Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) at a grave.

As the voiceover talks about how the stories may be soapy, Eve sees her and gasps, “You’re alive!” So, is Paige really alive? Or is she just a figment of a damaged mind? We’ll have to wait a see. However, this voiceover also accompanied another trope.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Look alikes

The scene changes to Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). Gabi will apparently admit an attraction to Jake, but he’ll point out she’s just feeling that way because he looks like her dead husband.

Definitely another common angle in the soap world, and we can’t say we hate it. There are times where you just need an actor back on the scene and Barash is great. He’s handling the differences between Jake and Stefan DiMera (Barash) well.

Of course, we’re expecting this scene to devolve into a fight and possibly be followed with sex. Jake might even be fueled by a desire for revenge against Gwen Davies (Emily O-Brien).

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Romance

It won’t all be drama. The voiceover also promises the romance will be fire this week. This is said over clips of Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) kissing. Then it shows Sarah Horton (Lindsay Godfrey) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer).

From that, we assume there will be at least a little happiness going on before Ben takes Ciara somewhere this week. And it looks like Xander might not be as bothered by potentially being thrown out of Titan again. Stay tuned to see what else is in store.
