CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers is saying hello everyone and welcome to a new week of the show without the word throwback involved.
Yep, that’s right. Y&R is back with new episodes starting here and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us going forward.
Prior to the pandemic shutdown, we were bored and a bit miffed at some of the storylines we were being subjected to, and like they did with B&B, this break gave them a chance to rework some things.
But did they?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 10: Recaps away!
Like it’s sister show, B&B, Y&R is going to welcome us back with a recap episode.
We’ll get to join Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as they plan something special for the anniversary of Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) dedication at Chancellor Park.
During the episode, Billy and Lily will chat with Genoa City’s top people like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and others.
They’ll remember back to previous events to bring us up to date with what has been reported is a love letter from the people to Katherine and the town, meaning the fans, we believe.
This should be interesting, and it’s a cool way of catching us all up without showing us a couple of weeks’ worth of episodes.
It’ll also give us a chance to see what changes, if any, are in store.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 10: What may change
Fans have expressed disappointment with the rushed storyline of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) trying to usurp power and respect from Victor being turned on its head, and ‘Young and the Restless’ agree.
While it opens up a new dynamic between father and son, it feels more like a way for the writers to bring them closer together through tricks than Adam be rewarded for wanting to help the family.
There are indications that Victor will reach out to his son, so that should prove interesting.
Another angle that we just do NOT (can’t stress not enough) want to see continue given real world issues is Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer storyline.
We’ve spent months hearing death and case counts (but never how many were tested overall) on television and a majority of us would like to see this storyline close up shop and move onto another one.
There are a few others, but these are two of the top ones among fans online, so it seemed fitting to include them.
What storylines are you looking forward to getting back into? Let us know below, and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
