British Royal Family News says if there’s one person who knows just how ruthless if not also nasty the British tabloid media can be, it is Camilla Parker Bowles. You’d think that with everything that Camilla went through in the past, Meghan Markle would have listened to the Duchess of Cornwall’s advice on how to handle bad headlines when she gave it to her. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case at all. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the Daily Mail, Camilla reportedly spoke to Meghan before her wedding day to Prince Harry and told her of her experience with the press after Princess Diana’s death. The Duchess of Cornwall invited the ex-Hollywood actress to a private lunch before her marriage.
British Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Ignored Camilla Parker Bowles’ Advice
One source close to the Duchess of Sussex said, “Meg was really grateful to Camilla who was very supportive and invited her out for private lunches, particularly around the time of her marriage. She listened to her and understood that it’s really difficult joining the Royal Family from an otherwise ‘normal’ life.”
As many royal fans can recall, at one point Camilla Parker Bowles was blamed for the demise of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ marriage and was also regarded as the most hated woman in Britain. Unfortunately, after listening to Camilla, Meghan did things her way, anyway.
The insider added, “Much like Meghan, Camilla had experienced a lot of negative press and hostility from courtiers due to her relationship with Charles when he was still married to Diana. She was very sensitive to Meghan and provided her with support, advising her to ride out the storm and that it would all pass – but ultimately Meghan didn’t listen.”
