ABC ‘General Hospital’ Comings and Goings: Fans Want To See More Of Lindsay Hartley As Sam McCall

ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) comings and goings indicate that actress Lindsay Hartley will be temporarily replacing Kelly Monaco as her character Sam McCall on the show and according to some viewers, this might be a good thing.

While nothing has been confirmed by the show’s producers, it has been reported that Lindsay is stepping in because Kelly was finding it difficult to adhere to all of the new coronavirus health and safety guidelines on the set of the show. Here’s what you need to know.

Of course, it didn’t take very long for ‘General Hospital’ fans to weigh in on all of the changes. Some even said they would love to see more of Lindsay Hartley, regardless if it’s on ‘General Hospital’ as Sam McCall or on another daytime television show.

As far as having Lindsay in Port Charles is concerned, many fans put it this way, “There’s a strong resemblance between her and Kelly. A fresh face to the character might be a good thing. Kelly seems to be just going through the motions these days.

I don’t think she’s been very happy since Billy Miller left,” along with, “With Lindsay maybe I will start liking the character again. I would love to see if Lindsay can pull off chemistry with Steve Burton because these days it doesn’t even look like Kelly Monaco wants to be in the same room as him.”

Another fan put it this way, “Why doesn’t this woman get more work?!? She held Passions together through it all, she was great on Days (killing her was short-sighted), didn’t watch her other soap work, but she always delivers a high-quality – and highly watchable – performance. I would love to see her get another full time gig!”

So far Kelly Monaco herself has not made any comments about the recast or how long she will be out for that matter. Her mother Carmina, however, stated on Twitter that her daughter was having difficulty keeping her mask on while filming on the set of General Hospital.
