NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that star Eric Martsolf recently opened up about his character Brady Black and perhaps the toughest scene he’s had to play in Salem so far. That scene, of course, is when he learned that his daughter with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had supposedly passed away. Here’s what he has to say.
In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, the handsome actor admitted that the scenes revolving around learning Rachel had died and actually saying goodbye to the dead infant were some of the worst for him as an actor. He recalled to the publication, “That was so horrible and extremely emotional. I remember reading in the script and then seeing Stacy in the makeup room and saying, ‘Do you believe what we have to do today?’ And Stacy was like, ‘I don’t know if I can get through this.’ We knew it was going to be hard, because she’s a mom and I’m a dad. That was another night when I came home, sat at the dinner table and was thinking, ‘Oh, God.’

However, the payoff was one that Eric certainly didn’t expect for his character, especially that moment of bliss before Kristen took off with the baby. He explained, “Talk about having a short-lived moment of happiness. What was that, five minutes? Brady letting Kristen go with their daughter was the culmination of his understanding how important it was for her to come full circle and be a mom, and not just a villainess. That was a heartbreaking scene, as well. They were so close to having that dream.”
