CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that nothing like a recent classic to take us into the home stretch, and the shoe is all set to get things rolling with a throwback spoiler. Well, technically it is a throwback but only a couple of months as this episode aired March 12, 2020. Yep, we’re going back to when Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson)’s not really so brilliant plan started to blow up in his face.
The lynchpin in this was his son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), as he’d done everything possible except feed the kid drugs to stress him out and force Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to marry him. In a really strange, out of the world way, it’s touching that Thomas is so desperate to have his perfect family that he’d go to such lengths, but it’s also a wee bit psychotic and that’s not really a good thing. So, without further ado, let’s get the party rolling.
CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers Throwback For July 9: Douglas’ World is Shaken
In Thomas’ eyes, Douglas was the key to everything, and he wasn’t wrong. The problem was that he also relied of his sister, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), whose conscience constantly nagged at her until she betrayed him to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who them brought Hope into their counter plotting, and this is where it gets interesting for CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers.
CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers Throwback For July 9: The Douglas factor
All the while, they allowed Douglas to be twisted and warped by everything going on. It’s an interesting angle as just about everyone was more worried about Hope becoming entangled in Thomas’ web than they were about Douglas. Seriously, the only ones that were opposed that cared about Douglas was Hope, his kinda sorta adopted mommy, Vincent Walker (Joe LoCicero), and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). Everyone else from Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) to Liam were only concerned with Hope. Sure, Douglas was there as an afterthought, but what’s that say about them?
Maybe Brooke would’ve cared more if Douglas was in his 20s or 30s? Douglas hung tough until halfway through Thomas and Zoe’s wedding ceremony, before suffering a meltdown and ran out of the room with Hope on his tail. Thinking his plan was working, Thomas delayed the wedding as much as he could, stammering through his vows. But everything appeared to be falling into place when Hope came back down the stairs dressed in the wedding dress Thomas had designed for her. With his hopes raised, Thomas could be in for a rude awakening. Where does this episode rate in this week’s offerings?
