CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers has had one incredible year, thanks to the excellent work by the cast and of course, writing from the behind-the-scenes team. Here’s what you need to know.
When asked by Soap Opera Digest what it meant for him to win the Outstanding Writer Award at this year’s Daytime Emmys, executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell says it’s an incredible feeling. That’s because 2019 was one of the best years on record for the hit CBS soap. He told the publication in an interview, “We had some ratings milestones. It felt like old-fashioned storytelling in the best ways where we had a secret and you wait for months and months. As a writer you are thinking, ‘I want to squeeze out every ounce of drama that this secret holds but I don’t want it to go on too long that people get bored or it becomes repetitive.’ And I feel like we navigated that well.”

Bell also said that the drama surrounding Hope Logan and Liam Spencer’s baby Beth turned out better than he expected, too. He continued, “The payoff was a natural payoff. It paid off with fans’ enthusiasm and a ratings jump. It was exciting.”
With that said, it looks like the upcoming focus will turn to the Wyatt Spencer, Sally Spectra and Flu Fulton saga. In fact, ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ spoilers even tease that Sally and the rather unethical doctor Penny Escobar will end up kidnapping Flo Fulton and worse, trying to kill her! Needless to say, ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ fans will have to tune in to find out what happens next. The soap airs on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.
